The recent salmonella outbreak has raised many reasonable doubts in the country’s food protection institutions. Perhaps the Food and Drug Administration is too busy partying to effectively monitor the food supply. Whatever the causes are, it is clear that the current system is in need of urgent reconstruction.
Help give us all real reasons to celebrate: ask the FDA to move towards a system that truly ensures our food’s safety by increasing inspectors and obtaining authority over imported foods and recalls.
